Toadstool Cafe vs Other Super Nintendo World Dining Options

Hollywood, Orlando and Osaka have distinct dining information. Here is how to keep it straight.

Toadstool Cafe in Hollywood, Toadstool Cafe at Universal Epic Universe in Orlando and Kinopio’s Café in Japan are separate dining venues. Their shared Nintendo theme does not make their menus, prices or access rules interchangeable. Choose the destination first; compare the local restaurant information second.

This guide also distinguishes Hollywood’s Power Up Cafe from the Toadstool Cafe covered by our main menu. It is a location-and-planning comparison, not a ranking of food quality. Official pages were checked October 18, 2026, and procedures can change.

The table is intentionally not a price comparison. A California price in US dollars cannot establish the cost of an order in Japan, and a shared dish name cannot establish identical ingredients or portion size. The venue and currency have to be clear before arithmetic becomes useful.

Hollywood: the scope of this website

Our core menu covers Toadstool Cafe at Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Hollywood. It includes starters, salads, main dishes, children’s meals, desserts and beverages found on the official local menu. We do not merge another park’s items into the list to make it look larger.

This boundary matters when researching a particular dish. A search result can show food from a different park without making the destination prominent. Before saving an item as your must-order choice, confirm that the page identifies Hollywood and that the official local menu lists it.

The current Hollywood FAQ describes reservations available up to 60 days in advance, subject to availability. It also says that scheduling a time to join the queue does not guarantee cafe admission. Those are Hollywood statements, not rules that this guide applies to every Nintendo-themed restaurant worldwide.

Power Up Cafe is a different Hollywood stop

Universal’s Hollywood land information identifies Power Up Cafe on New York Street on the Upper Lot. It is a separate venue from Toadstool Cafe. Being in the same park and sharing Nintendo-themed food does not mean the two names refer to the same counter or booking process.

For a visitor, the useful comparison starts with purpose and location: which venue actually offers the item you want, and where does that fit in your day? Do not assume that a food photograph from Power Up Cafe is evidence for the Toadstool menu.

We have not imported a complete current Power Up Cafe price list into this article. Check the official Hollywood Super Nintendo World information and its current dining links. Verify the venue’s own availability and procedure rather than borrowing Toadstool’s reservation instructions.

Orlando: the same restaurant name in another park

Universal Orlando’s official dining information places its Toadstool Cafe in Super Nintendo World at Universal Epic Universe. That is a distinct park destination in Florida. A browser search for the restaurant name alone can therefore lead to a result outside California.

When researching Orlando, use the official Universal Orlando venue page. Check the local menu, park access, operating information and dining instructions there. We do not publish Orlando booking rules based on Hollywood’s FAQ.

Likewise, the Hollywood prices on our homepage should not be described as a nationwide Toadstool Cafe price list. Even if a burger name appears in both locations, a meaningful comparison would require matching the ingredients, included side, current price and relevant purchase conditions at both venues.

Osaka: Kinopio’s Café has its own information

Universal Studios Japan uses the name Kinopio’s Café for its Super Nintendo World restaurant. Its official restaurant page is the appropriate source for the Japan location. The different name is worth recognizing when searching in English, because a direct search for the Hollywood name may miss relevant local information.

The Japan page lists local menu information and its own service details. This article does not convert those prices into dollars or treat a converted figure as the amount you would pay. Exchange rates, payment treatment and the actual Japanese listing would all matter to a real spending comparison.

Use the official Kinopio’s Café page near your visit. Check the current language version and ask staff where details remain unclear. A Hollywood children’s age rule or reservation window should never be assumed to apply simply because the restaurant has a similar theme.

How to compare a dish properly

Begin with the location, exact item name and source date. Then compare the protein, sauce, accompaniments and collectible inclusions. If one listing contains a bowl and another does not, separate that difference before calling one option more expensive for the same meal.

Avoid relying on a photograph alone. A similar shape or decorative pick can hide differences in ingredients, size or presentation. An unofficial AI image is even less suitable as evidence. On this site, conceptual food illustrations are labeled and kept separate from source-checked menu facts.

Do not rank regional food quality without evidence. We have not conducted a multi-park tasting or collected comparable diner ratings. The useful outcome is knowing where your desired experience belongs, not manufacturing a winner from unrelated descriptions.

Three common research mix-ups

The first is treating a worldwide search result as a local menu. Add the park and city to the query, then verify the official page. A title containing the restaurant name is insufficient when multiple venues use it.

The second is transferring a reservation rule from one place or year to another. A detailed historical article can still describe an obsolete procedure. Our Hollywood visit guide uses the current local FAQ and links directly to it so the rule can be checked again.

The third is comparing prices without inclusions. A soup with a bowl, a burger with fries and a standalone snack are different purchases. Our food guide helps explain the Hollywood builds, but it does not establish another venue’s equivalents.

Choose a useful next step

If you are visiting Hollywood, use the homepage for menu selection and the visit guide for current booking context. If you are visiting Orlando or Japan, switch to that destination’s official restaurant page before building an order or schedule. Keep the local source attached to every saved fact.

This small discipline prevents most confusing comparisons. You can enjoy the shared Nintendo theme while still treating each venue as a real restaurant with its own menu, location and operating rules. Plan the meal for the park you will enter, and let verified local information determine the details.
